Distraction Training

This is a hard one to pull off when Lex is so fond of balls, however we managed to do it in the end. Am planning to go outdoors tranning with Lex every weekend.

Lex has always been good in doing what his owner commands him to do or should I say the owner is always patient and consistent in training Lex...;P

Hi Lex! Hey, thanks for enquiring about our new yummy food! We've now put a link in our post to the Royal Canin site so check it out! We can't comment about how it's affected us yet as we've only just started eating it, which means that we're being introduced to it slowly. We'll let you know at the end of October how we're doing with it, (but you might need to remind us!) However, we CAN say that we're enjoying it - we snarfle it down very quickly! Hi Lex's human - JD and Max's human here! Hey, I know exactly what you mean about the headache of finding a good kibble! I worry about not getting them the best stuff but I still want to make sure they enjoy it too. Plus, JD has a delicate digestion which makes it harder as he can't tolerate a lot of dog foods.

We use a locally produced kibble called Trophy which is hypo alergenic and holistic (only available in the UK) but they're not too keen on the adult version and we're obviously moving over to that now. When we were last in the pet shop in town the owner came running over to let us know about Royal Canin as we had the two boys with us, so we though we'd give it a go. They seem to like it so far. It's supposed to make them drink more to help the urinary tract as they'll wee more - I suppose that could be the salt thing.

I'd love to try them on a raw food diet, but haven't been brave enough yet because of the trouble we have with JD - it can be a nightmare as he does get quite ill..... Maybe when they're a bit older we'll try that.

Anyway, I'll keep you posted on the Royal Canin. I suppose as long as their diet is varied we just have to accept that we're doing our best for them.....
